Las Palmas is practically two cities in one: the old districts of Vegueta and Triana, and the "modern" city center where you find the Santa Catalina Park, the Las Canteras Beach, and the Shopping District.
Going to the center
gives you a lot more options; there are hundreds of bars, pubs, and
nightclubs to choose from. Just hop on any bus going towards Santa
Catalina, and you are there in 15
minutes.
