« Belén de Arena de Las Canteras

The Sand Bethlehem on the Las Canteras beach is the most iconic of all Christmas decorations in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

The Belén de Arena display is created by sculptors from all over Europe, and is made entirely of sand. It covers more than a square kilometer of the beach, and is open for the public from the first weekend of December until after New Year´s.

The event is promoted by the City Council of Las Palmas, and entrance is free. Donations are taken for charitable causes. Read More »
